IP Bridge’s Geely injunction stayed in Brazil; GWM proceedings show ongoing enforcement

The work of our partners Paulo Cesar Salomão Filho, Alice Studart, and Luis Felipe Salomão has gained prominence in the international media in the context of disputes involving IP Bridge against Chinese automakers such as Geely and GWM in Brazil.

In the case, which involves standard-essential patents related to 4G connectivity, the injunction initially granted against Geely was later suspended by an individual decision at the appellate level, still subject to review by a panel. In parallel, the proceedings involving GWM are ongoing, with new procedural developments.
