Luis Felipe has extensive experience in high-complexity litigation. He participated, at a management level, in the submarine construction project for the Brazilian Navy, known as PROSUB, overseeing the construction of four conventional submarines and one nuclear submarine over a period of eight years, with direct involvement in the technology transfer process between France and Brazil.
He is listed among the leading professionals in Maritime Law by the Leaders League rankings in the 2023 and 2024 editions, as well as in the area of Restructuring and Insolvency in 2024. In 2025, he was recognized by Leaders League Brazil in the Notable Practices category in Civil and Commercial Litigation. In the same year, he was named Most Admired Lawyer by the publication Análise Advocacia in the Textile, Apparel, and Footwear economic sector, and was included in The Best Lawyers in Brazil – 2025 edition. He is also mentioned by The Legal 500 as a partner at Salomão, Kaiuca, Abrahão, Raposo e Cotta in the Firms to Watch in Shipping category.
He serves as Secretary-General of the National Commission on Constitutional Studies; as a representative of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) in the Working Group of the National Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office on judicial recovery and bankruptcy; and as a member of the Chamber of Specialized Mediation and Arbitration (CAMES).
He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Universidade Estácio de Sá; a Bachelor’s Degree in Naval and Ocean Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ); an MBA in Project Management from FGV/RJ; and a Master’s Degree in Procedural Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
