Livia Sanches Sancio
Livia Sancio has robust experience in dispute resolution, especially litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation, in addition to extensive experience in advisory services and contractual analysis.
With an international degree from the University of Southampton, she completed a secondment program at the P&I Skuld club. Worked for six years as a member and secretary of the Maritime, Port and Sea Law Commission of OAB/RJ (Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro section), where she organized the Maritime and Port Law Booklet of OAB/RJ. Contributed to the chapter pertaining to the Brazilian jurisdiction in Shipping of Chambers and Partners, also writing about arbitration, procedural and civil law.
Professional recognized by the Análise Advocacia Mulher 2023 ranking in the Regulatory and Transport and Logistics specialties, as well as among the most admired professionals in Rio de Janeiro. Listed among the best Maritime Law professionals by the Leaders League ranking in the 2023 and 2024 editions, and included, as a partner of Salomão, Kaiuca, Abrahão, Raposo and Cotta, in the 2024 edition of the publication The Legal500 in the Firms to Wacht in Shipping category.
She is an arbitrator at CBMA – Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration. Member of the Maritime and Port Law Commission of OAB/ES (Espírito Santo section), Maritime and Port Law Commission of the Federal Council of OAB, WISTA (Women in the Shipping and Trade Association), and ABDM (Brazilian Association of Maritime Law). Taught the subject of Maritime Law at FGV/RJ (Fundação Getulio Vargas, Rio de Janeiro).

Maritime Law from University of Southampton (United Kingdom); Specialist in Maritime Law from FGV/RJ; Specialist in Oil and Gas Law from IBP (Brazilian Petroleum and Gas Institute).
